Condition yourself to become a faster athlete by increasing your acceleration, top speed and speed endurance. The Speed and Power for Sport program features numerous state-of-the-art tools to facilitate the learning process to become a stronger and more powerful athlete. The Woodway® High Speed Treadmill, which has a top speed of 25 miles per hour and a 35% incline, will challenge the body to reach its maximal stride length and frequency. Utilizing the Woodway® Force Towing Treadmill and the Optum S.P.S.™ Towing System, with up to 1000 lbs of resistance, along with the explosive break-away Bullet Belt™ will help you generate your most powerful starts ever.

The Vertimax™ is incorporated in the plyometrics section of the program to enable a competitor to reach maximal muscle contraction in the shortest period of time, creating a more powerful athlete. Power bands and fast feet drills are then implemented to increase multidirectional first step quickness, agility, balance and coordination.

The Speed and Power for Sport program involves scientifically tailored protocol and sport specific exercises designed to safely and efficiently increase maximal sprint speed, horizontal and vertical power output, proper running biomechanics and anaerobic endurance. All athletes will be timed pre and post program in the 40 yard dash using a high-tech laser timing system, in addition to receiving a vertical jump score and an agility drill time. The Speed and Power for Sport program consists of two 90 minute sessions per week, for an 8 week period.
